Lauren Dermody UMSL Optometry Class of 2021

Lauren was the President of UMSL’s NOSA chapter for the 2018-2019 school year. She helped raise money for the STL Foundation Fighting Blindness by hosting the annual NOSA talent show featuring acts from all four years of optometry students. Lauren also helped out with several local fundraising events such as the 2018 Vision Walk which also raised money for FFB, and she led a group of volunteers that helped to coordinate an Easter egg hunt for visually impaired children in the STL area. Lauren’s love for service and passion for optometry made her an extraordinary UMSL president. She has continued to volunteer her time for this year’s NOSA events and is an inspiration to all current and future NOSA members.
