Humans Of NOSA Student Spotlight: Hector Carrillo

Hi my name is Hector Carrillo and I am a third-year optometry student.  The past two years have been an amazing experience for me because I have been able to attend two mission trips(Jamaica & Nicaragua).  As an underrepresented minority student, it has been a calling of mine to continue to give back to underserved communities in whatever way I can. The advancement of my clinical education here at Berkeley has allowed me to provide vision care in ways I dreamed about during my undergrad.  My NOSA family has been an integral part of my journey.
